The California Sea Lions at the Aquarium of Niagara will take a break from showing off their skills beginning today and extending to Saturday, Jan. 18, so as to accommodate maintenance work.

Except for Jan. 13, when the Aquarium of Niagara will be closed, the venue will be open for visitors at half price admission ($5) for adults and $3 for children. The second floor will not be open to the public, however.

The sea lion pool is usually scraped, sanded and painted every two years.

Guests can call the Aquarium of Niagara at 716-285-3575, ext. 203, to make sure the pool has reopened before visiting.
