Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue to hold January volunteer meeting

Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will hold its monthly volunteer meeting this Wednesday, Jan. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston. The meeting is a gathering and the main discussion topic will be the upcoming second annual "Heart to Heart" fundraising event, to be held Feb. 8.

Tickets for the event will be available for purchase at the meeting. There will also be an update on prizes and other needs for the fundraiser. The meeting is open to the public, and everyone is welcome.

Heart of Niagara is a not-for-profit companion animal rescue organization based in Niagara County. Its mission is to protect the health and welfare of abandoned, unwanted and homeless animals. Heart of Niagara has adopted out more than 130 animals to date, more than double the annual projection. The organization operates solely on donations and the generosity and support of the public.
