Lewiston Senior Center programs, activities for January

The Town of Lewiston Senior Center, 4361 Lower River Road, announces its schedule of programs and activities. For January 2014 these include:

•Wednesday, Jan. 1 - Senior Center closed for New Year's Day.

•Tuesday, Jan. 7 - Officers meeting 10:30 a.m.; installation of officers, 1 p.m.

•Tuesday, Jan. 14 - Nutrition luncheon; New Year's Eve special.

•Monday, Jan. 20 - Senior Center closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

•Tuesday, Jan. 21 - Niagara County Sheriff's Office; Robert Richards.

•Thursday, Jan. 23 - Nutrition luncheon; Super Bowl party.

•Tuesday, Jan. 28 - Nutrition luncheon; Chinese New Year's.

Weekly activities include the following:

•Monday - Mah-jongg, 9 a.m.; line dancing, 10 a.m.; bingo, 1 p.m.

•Tuesday - Resistance band exercise, 10 a.m.; Lewiston Seniors Club, 11 a.m.

•Wednesday - Larks rehearsal, 9:30 a.m.; bingo, 1 p.m.

•Thursday - Tai chi, 9:30 a.m.; woodcarvers, 9:30 a.m.; resistance band exercise, 10:30 a.m.; euchre, 12:30 p.m.

•Friday - Quilting, 9:30 a.m.; crafts, 9:30 a.m.; line dancing, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.

The Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A hot meal is served at 11:45 a.m. Reservations must be made a day in advance by 11:30 a.m.
