It's been a busy couple of days for Mike Fox of Niagara Jet Adventures in Youngstown. Fox reports the first in his fleet of custom-built, advanced-tech Gatling series jetboats, manufactured by Bohnenkamp's Whitewater Customs of Meridian, Idaho, arrived in Youngstown this week following a 2,233-mile cross-country trip via trailer. The new $500,000-plus vessel, named "Gonago:go:h" - Seneca for "In the rapids" - saw its first trials this week from the south dock near Fox Boyz Marine on Water Street in the village.

Powered by three Cadillac supercharged 6.2 LSAs putting out well in excess of 3,000 rpms apiece, the enclosed, temperature-controlled vessel that seats 40 made its way up the Niagara past Lewiston, the New York Power Authority turbines, whirlpool areas and into the inner gorge in "just minutes."
