City of North Tonawanda Mayor Robert G. Ortt and Meghan Ortt Host 4th annual Snowflake Ball

City of North Tonawanda Mayor Robert G. Ortt and his wife, Meghan, will host the fourth annual Snowflake Ball charity event Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, from 8-11 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus, 755 Erie Ave. It will be a night of music, food, cocktails and enjoyment. Over the past three years, this event has raised more than $20,000 for local nonprofits and community organizations. All proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Twin Cities Community Outreach.

The TCCO strives to bring together volunteer human service-related groups under the "umbrella" of mutual cooperation of service to those in need in the Twin Cities. The purpose of TCCO is to bring three community outreach programs together under one roof: NT Meals on Wheels, the Inter-Church Food Pantry and the Clothes Closet. TCCO is a nonprofit organization financially supported through the generosity of residents in the community. It is not supported by any means of government.

"It has been an honor and a privilege to host this event alongside my wife, Meghan, for the past three years," Ortt said. "Thanks to the generous support from our sponsors and those who have attended, we have been able to raise more than $20,000 to help support local (nonprofits) that have a direct, positive impact on North Tonawanda. The TCCO encompasses three critical (nonprofits) that assist NT families. I know that our community will once again turn out for a fun evening and support a great organization like the TCCO."

Greg Lureman, TCCO president, said, "I would like to thank Mayor Ortt and his wife, Meghan, for selecting TCCO as the beneficiary for this year's event. The funds raised at the fourth annual Snowflake Ball will help further support all of the programs, which benefit the residents of the Twin Cities. We look forward to seeing the support from as many people as possible on this enjoyable evening."
