A group of Daisy Girl Scouts from Troop 30011, kindergarteners from Maple East Elementary School in Williamsville, showed just how "Helpful and Friendly" they could be when they taught the residents of Amberleigh Retirement Community how to make snowflake ornaments on Saturday in the community's atrium. The activity was part of the "doingness" required for each of the girls in the troop to earn their "Helpful and Friendly" scout badge.

In addition to the snowflake project, the girls also passed out punch and cookies to all the residents in attendance. The activity was a complete success and all enjoyed the afternoon craft activity.

Amberleigh Retirement Community is located at 2330 Maple Road, Williamsville.
