'Heroes of Niagara Awards Dinner' honored community members

For their contributions to the Niagara County and Western New York communities, the Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation honored Gary Hall of Lewiston's Waste Technology Services (Philanthropy Award); Reeds/Jenss and the Zimmer family (Business Leader Award); Gary Strenkoski of the Town of Niagara's Strenkoski Brothers Construction (Volunteer Award); and Lisa Tribunella (Inspiration Award).

The recent Heroes of Niagara Awards dinner was co-chaired for a second year by James and Bernie Toellner of Grand Island, and was held at the Niagara Falls Country Club.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation, whose mission is to create a long-term funding source to enhance the lives of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities served by Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara, the Niagara County Chapter of NYSARC Inc.
