Niagara Hospice will present a program on dealing with grief during the holiday season. The free event will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 14 at Otto Redanz Funeral Home, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls.

"Grief Never Takes a Holiday" facilitators Jennifer Amor, MS, and Laurie Johnston Stickney, LMSW, will address the challenges of participating in holiday activities when hearts are grieving, and provide helpful suggestions to deal with the various feelings of grief many experience this time of year. Amor is Niagara Hospice manager of bereavement services. Stickney is a Niagara Hospice bereavement counselor.

Hosted by Mike Goodlander, owner of Otto Redanz Funeral Home, the talk will also be about preparing for the holidays in times of grief, communicating with family and friends, and honoring a loved one on holidays. Time for questions will follow.

Register for the free seminar by calling 716-297-9007. Walk-ins are also welcome.
