'Superman' icons Christopher Reeve and George Reeves lives told in comic book tribute

Bluewater Productions is releasing new comic book biographies on two legendary men of steel, Christopher Reeve and George Reeves. "Tribute: Christopher Reeve" will be released this week in conjunction with the release of the "Man of Steel" DVD

Bluewater is working with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation on this book, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the organization. 

What makes a man a true hero? Is it the role he plays or the life he leads? Explore the life of legendary actor and philanthropist Christopher Reeve in this tribute to the man behind Superman's cape.

The 32-page comic book, written by Michael Frizell, illustrated by M. Anthony Gerardo, will feature two covers: one by Gerardo and the other by famed artist Chris Mason. 

In January 2014, the comic book "Tribute: George Reeves," written and drawn by Gerardo, hits shelves. The book can be pre-ordered on iTunes and Comic Flea Market today. 

George Reeves was the first actor to portray the "Man of Steel" in full color. He is the granddaddy of all TV superheroes. But behind the scenes, Reeves lead a shocking life.

Previous subjects that have been featured in the "Tribute" line include Bruce Lee, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Capra, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.
