In an evening full of emotions and glamour, Gabriela Isler from Venezuela was crowned Miss Universe 2013 at the beauty competition held at Moscow's Crocus City Hall. Airing Saturday on NBC and Telemundo, viewers witnessed the moment when Olivia Culpo, Miss Universe 2012, crowned her successor at the conclusion of the prestigious event.

Miss Spain, Patricia Yurena Rodríguez, was the first runner-up; Miss Ecuador, Constanza Baez, second runner-up; Miss Philippines, Ariella Arida, third runner-up, and Miss Brazil, Jakelyne Oliveira was the fourth runner-up.

Online users chose Miss Philippines as the winner of the Fan Vote.

The new Miss Universe, Gabriela Isler, was born in Valencia, Venezuela. She started flamenco dancing lessons when she was a child, but said that her "real training" began when her niece was born. After finishing her thesis three years ago, Isler has regularly helped her sister take care of her daughter, and even considers herself a second mother to the child. She currently works in television, but considers motherhood the hardest profession in life. Above all else, she values being at home, surrounded by the people she loves.

Isler's greatest role model is her mother because, despite the diversity she and her family faced growing up, her mother stayed strong and taught her that there was always a way to make ends meet.
