The Lewiston Police Department announces it will play Lewiston-Porter School District teachers in a flag football game Friday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m., under the lights at the Lew-Port football field behind the high school.

LPD Officer Brandon Hall reports the game will help raise money and gather nonperishable foods for distribution to those in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. There is no admission fee, but donations are greatly appreciated. Raffle prizes from local businesses, a 50/50 and foods are just some of the attractions visitors can expect that evening.

Those who cannot attend but who would like to donate are asked to drop their donation at the Lewiston Police Station located in front of the Lew-Port Intermediate Education Center on the Lew-Port Creek Road campus, or at the Red Brick Municipal Building on North Fourth Street in the village. Local businesses interested in donating can contact Hall at 345-8521.

"It will be a fun and friendly family atmosphere, so come on out and cheer for one or both teams. We look forward to seeing you there," he said.
