The Castellani Art Museum will host its third annual Niagara University Student Culture Expo with an exhibition of student work from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 14. The exhibition was so successful in the past two years (since its inception) that the museum welcomed the chance to host another evening for Niagara University students to display and view one another's work.

The NU Student Culture Expo is free to all NU students and community members. Organizers hope to attract an audience including those who exhibit as well as those who come to view - and perhaps purchase - the work. The event includes live music, artist talks, light refreshments and door prizes.

The two previous events featured the work of more than 30 different NU students, and attracted a combined 300 visitors. Works exhibited included paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, poetry and installation.

Niagara University MBA student Laura J. Brownlie coordinates the NU Student Culture Expo.

"This event began as a way for students to interact with the Castellani Art Museum as a resource, and has evolved to become both that and a way for students to proudly display the fruits of their talents for their community," she said.

The Castellani Art Museum was founded by Armand and Eleanor Castellani as a resource for both the NU students and surrounding community. It is located on the University campus and is free to all of those who visit. It is the only collecting art museum in Niagara County.
