Buffalo Bills autograph signing to benefit United Way of Greater Niagara

Fred Jackson, Aaron Williams headline Nov. 12 event

Two of the most popular members of the Buffalo Bills are signing on for a special event to benefit United Way of Greater Niagara.

Running back Fred Jackson and defensive back Aaron Williams will be the star attractions at an autograph-signing event sponsored by the Niagara County Deputy Sheriffs Association in conjunction with the New York State Deputies Association. The event will take place Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the NCDSA union office located in the Bewley Building, 20 Market St., Lockport.

Jackson has been at the heart of Buffalo's offense so far this season, while Williams has been an integral part of the team's defensive success.

United Way of Greater Niagara is currently in the midst of the 2013 "Community Care Campaign," the organization's largest fundraising effort. The campaign traditionally seeks to raise funds to support programs and services across Niagara County through a combination of corporate and individual donations, many of which are provided through regular payroll deductions from workers at area businesses. The campaign will culminate with a community celebration Nov. 21 when the official results will be announced. The campaign is seeking to raise $1.275 million this year.

United Way representatives and volunteers are meeting with businesses across the county to help them coordinate their internal campaigns and fundraising efforts in support of the 2013 "Community Care Campaign."
