Aquarium of Niagara offers safe and fun Halloween activitiesby jmaloni
Have no fear, Halloween's almost here at the Aquarium of Niagara. Keep Oct. 26 open, at least from 4 to 7 p.m., for the most Halloween fun you can have in a safe environment.
You might see a bat, a witch's hat or big black cat arching its back, or even better, a shark with sharp teeth, an octopus with eight tentacles or maybe a starfish with five arms. Any child dressed as one of these sea creatures or any other marine animal will be admitted free. Adults and all other children will get a discounted admission of $5.
Aquarium of Niagara members, as always, are free. Sure to be "fin-filled" and spine tingling, this annual event gives the staff a chance to be scary or funny, or both, while on the job. Youngsters, who "trick-or-treat" at the Aquarium of Niagara, will find lots to do and see.
Each child will receive a small "treat bag" full of surprises. While enjoying the Halloween fun at the Aquarium of Niagara, they will also create a craft to take home.
There will be more surprises with special sea lion shows featuring the marine mammal staff and the Aquarium of Niagara's always-entertaining sea lions.
A scavenger hunt, with small plastic pumpkins hidden in various exhibits, also will be a part of the Halloween event.
