The first-ever Wearable Art Fashion Show to benefit the Aquarium of Niagara took place before a sold-out crowd Thursday at Wine on Third in Niagara Falls. Featuring the creations of artists/designers from the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, as well as area retailers, the runway show spotlighted unique, wearable art fashions made from recyclable materials.
Up to 20 models participated, including Lewiston residents Jessica Lemke, left, shown sporting a creation fabricated from soda can pull-tabs, and Sarina Deacon on the runway at right.
Displays of the wearable art fashions can be seen through mid-November at Wine on Third, 501 Third St. (photos by Terry Duffy)
