Alzheimer's Association open house

The Alzheimer's Association, Western New York Chapter, will hold an open house on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at its offices, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, in Williamsville.

The program "will provide a venue for caregivers, family members, those living with the disease, professionals, and the general public to collect information and enroll in various programs and services related to wandering prevention and general safety preparedness," said Andrew Wilton, the chapter's director of outreach initiatives.

Topics to be covered include wandering, medical and personal identification, home safety, driving decisions and disaster and general safety preparedness. In addition open on-site enrollment will be available for the following: MedicAlert + Alzheimer's Association Safe Return and Safety ID Program - Free & Accepted Masons of NY.
