Donald Shrimpton, founder and director of the Lewiston Choraleers, will participate in a concert titled "An American Salute: Our Heritage of Faith & Freedom" on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. The concert features composers Joseph Martin and Heather Sorenson, vocalist Sue Martin, world-renowned a cappella stylists the Liberty Voices, and the 200-voice American Tapestry Choir. Shrimpton will be a piano accompanist for the American Tapestry Choir.

The concert is part of a tour sponsored by Harmony International, a faith-based organization that coordinates high quality, customized and affordable tours and projects for performing groups and church-related organizations in locations throughout the globe.
Shrimpton is a well-known Lewiston resident and musical director.
