'Chew' cooking school is back in session

"The Chew" rolls into autumn with an all-new lineup with shows dedicated to party platters, celebrating the humble cheeseburger as well as veggies galore, and welcomes Maria Bello, Lenny Venito, Tamera Mowry, chef Susan Feniger and food celebs Kat Odell and Sunny Anderson as guests.

For the week of Sept. 16-20 (subject to change; 1 p.m.):

Monday, Sept. 16 - "Party Platters" - Let the "Chew" show you how to spruce up celebrations from game day to dinner soirees. Michael Symon makes beef skewers with cilantro pesto and Bravo's "Eat, Drink, Love" star Kat Odell of the blog Eater LA makes a pu pu platter of shrimp toast, grilled short ribs and more with Carla Hall and Clinton Kelly. Daphne Oz reveals what everyday food can help morning sickness.

Tuesday, Sept. 17 - "Veggie-Palooza" - Chef Susan Feniger shows how to best navigate a farmer's market and Oz cooks up a veggie meal with Food Network star Sunny Anderson, who talks about her new book. On "Chewsday Tuesday," an audience member will get a chance to cook with chef Mario Batali.

Wednesday, Sept. 18 - "Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger!" - On National Cheeseburger Day, Symon and Hall pit their best versions against each other. Maria Bello ("The Prisoner") cooks an epic burger with Batali and is joined at the tasting table by Maria's mom, and the show travels to Philadelphia to unlock the mysteries of the "Spaghetti Burger."

Thursday, Sept. 19 - "Back to Cooking School" - School is back in session at "The Chew," with Batali providing cooking instruction to actress Tamera Mowry, and Symon teaching audience members fundamentals. Hall takes a field trip to explore the wonderful world of canning.

Friday, Sept. 20 - "Extra Value Friday: Budget Breakfast" - Lenny Venito (ABC's "The Neighbors") cooks breakfast with Batali, Hall reveals essential tips and gadgets for the day's most important meal and Symon makes magic out of leftovers. Clinton Kelly puts audience members to the test with the game, "Calorie Card Sharks."
