The New York State Department of Transportation announced this week that bridge maintenance has begun on the Robert Moses Parkway, in the vicinity of Four Mile Creek State Park, in the Town of Porter.

As a result, the Robert Moses Parkway northbound, between the entrance to Four Mile Creek State Park and NY Route 18, is closed to all traffic. Traffic will be directed to follow a posted detour route. This closure is expected to last for approximately four weeks.

This work is weather sensitive and will be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
