Last fall, Island resident Corey McGowan embarked on two major projects for Grand Island: the Grand Island Mural Project, and the first-ever Taste of Grand Island, which served as a way to showcase the mural and Grand Island's many businesses.

With last years highly praised success, the Taste of Grand Island is back on Saturday, Sept. 28. McGowan promises an even better event, which this year will be located on a portion of Grand Island Boulevard that will be closed, as well as the Town Commons. More than 20 Island restaurants and 20 additional vendors will fill the boulevard and commons for a celebration of all that Grand Island has to offer. Patrons will be able to sample food from favorite or uncharted Island restaurants or shop from an independently owned boutique.

This event is family-friendly, while a large beer tent for those 21 and over will also be conveniently located in the front parking lot of TC's Tavern. Live entertainment, favorite fall brews and wine will be available for the entire day.
