NJ 'Dog Whisperer' coming to Lewiston Sept. 14-15 for two-day event

If you're having a little trouble with your dog's behavior, instruction and rehabilitation from an expert might help. United K9 Professionals and the New Jersey "Dog Whisperer," Janice Wolfe, will be in Lewiston on Saturday, Sept. 14, Sunday, Sept. 15, for two days of seminars and hands-on instruction. They will present a program, open to the public, at The Lewiston Senior Center, corner of Pletcher and River roads.

Topics to be covered include "Natural Canine Behavior Rehabilitation," and understanding the five fundamentals to a calm and stable dog (PERCH, or "Purpose, Energy, Respect, Connection and Health"). Program content is the same each day and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lectures and seminars will take place in the morning with Q-and-A, demos and hands-on dog training in the afternoon.

This event is a fundraiser for Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue and is sponsored by Grandpaws Pet Emporium. Tickets are $35 for either day for one person/one dog, or $65 for either day with two people and up to two dogs. They are available at Grandpaws Pet Emporium on Center Street or at the door. Limited seating and space is available.
