Work continues on the new science, technology, engineering and mathematics wing at Grand Island High School.

Assistant Superintendent of School Business Services Joe Giarrizzo said Monday at a joint meeting of the Grand Island Town Board and the Board of Education that the foundations are almost complete on the wing, adding that within another week the foundation will be done, with steel erection in October or November.

"Our hope is to have the building enclosed by Christmas so that we can work on the inside all winter," Giarrizzo said. (photo by K&D Action Photo and Aerial Photography)
