The Grand Island Fun Center has added "festive" to its menu.

Recently, the business, at 2660 Grand Island Blvd., introduced Nutty Nellies, an outdoor concession stand that serves as sort of a 19th hole to the mini golf course, as well as the batting cages and go-kart track.

The idea for Nutty Nellies started about three weeks ago, said Dave Glian, Fun Center owner. Connie Weil, former restaurateur and the eponymous Nellie, planned the whole project and wanted something fun and festive, she said. The stand will sell pulled pork sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs, with fun foods like dill pickles, and apples and caramel. The stand is open whenever the Fun Center is open.

Dave Glian, right, and his son David have opened Nutty Nellies in the Grand Island Fun Center.
