Chicago Blackhawks forward and south Buffalo native Patrick Kane will bring two NHL trophies to Western New York on Saturday, Aug. 24. The Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy are slated to be at the base from 8:30 to approximately 11 a.m. Activities will be held in hangar 907.

Cup viewing on the base is open to anyone with an issued military identification card, which grants base access.

All personnel will have an opportunity to view the cup and meet Kane. Personnel, however, are not guaranteed a photo opportunity.

Unit commanders will distribute a limited number of tickets for personnel to be photographed with the trophies.

Arriving early will not grant personnel a photo opportunity with the trophy, as tickets are required for a photo.

Parking on base will be restricted as the New York Air National Guard's 107th Airlift Wing will be conducting a unit training assembly at that time. Personnel are encouraged to utilize free parking spots on other parts of the installation. Shuttles will be available on a limited basis.

The Buffalo Sled Veteran Warriors and The Buffalo Warriors Hockey Team will also be honored by Kane in a special ceremony.

Kane and the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in June, defeating the Boston Bruins.
