Allegiant wants Niagara Falls travelers to "Dodge High Fares." The company, known for its travel deals and low fares, is hosting a dodgeball tournament in Niagara Falls and providing travel deals.

"Allegiant consistently goes into new markets and accomplishes two things: We bring down the cost of vacation travel while simultaneously increasing the number of leisure travelers flying," said Rich Winiarski, Allegiant Travel Company vice president of marketing. "We make more vacations possible by making travel more affordable in the communities we serve. It's something we're really proud of, and this new campaign will help us tell that story."

Since Allegiant first arrived in Niagara Falls in December of 2011, the airline has taken more than 78,000 passengers on vacation to sunny world-class destinations. Allegiant has also introduced Orlando and Punta Gorda as new destinations for residents of the Niagara Falls area.

To make an even bigger splash in Niagara Falls, Allegiant is partnering with The National Dodgeball League and Niagara Falls International Airport to host a "Dodge High Fares" dodgeball tournament at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA on Wednesday, Aug. 28, beginning at 5 p.m. For more information, OR to register a team, participants need to visit dodgehighfares.com.

Niagara Falls' dodgeball event is the final event of the summer-long "Dodge High Fares" campaign that includes television, radio and print elements, 30 dodgeball tournaments in cities throughout Allegiant's network, and online prize giveaways. In addition, Allegiant is asking Niagara Falls residents to say what they would dodge with a free vacation. Whether it's work, bills, chores or something else, the company is giving away a free round-trip ticket this week in sweepstakes at dodgehighfares.com.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Co. operates a low-cost, high-efficiency, all-jet passenger airline through its subsidiary, Allegiant Air, while also offering other travel-related products such as hotel rooms, rental cars, and attraction tickets. All can be purchased through the company website, allegiant.com. Forbes Magazine has named the company one of America's 100 Best Small Companies for four consecutive years.
