Local ministry Joshua Revolution is hosting a crusade this weekend featuring Jimmy Swaggart and his grandson, Gabriel Swaggart, to present a message of hope, prayer for the sick, and an invitation for all to experience the love and forgiveness of God. The event is called the Field of Miracles "The Return," and is coming to Sal Maglie Stadium this weekend.
All are welcome to attend the free event. Services will take place Friday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 11, at 6 p.m.
In 2006, the Field of Miracles crusade was held in Rochester. More than 17,000 people attended the three-day event at Frontier Field. Now, seven years later, the Field of Miracles returns - this time to Niagara Falls.
The main evening services will take place at Sal Maglie Stadium, located at 1200 Hyde Park Blvd. There will be prayer for the sick at every service. Spanish interpretation will be available on Friday night.
"We are honored to have evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and his grandson, Gabriel, coming to preach at this event," says Mike Chorey, executive director of Joshua Revolution. "It has been over 20 years since Brother Swaggart has preached at a U.S. crusade, so we are most blessed to have him preaching and singing at the Field of Miracles."
There will also be seminars offered on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Niagara Falls High School (4455 Porter Road). Seminars will be taught by Bob Cornell, professor at World Evangelism Bible College in Baton Rouge, La., and Marlene Klepees, who was healed of cerebral palsy at the age of 19.
Parking is available around the stadium, with additional parking available at Niagara Falls High School. Free shuttle buses will travel between the stadium and overflow parking at the high school. For more information about the event schedule, visit www.fieldofmiracles.org or call 1-888-415-KIDS.
