Santa makes summer stop at Wheatfield marketby jmaloni
The Wheatfield Farmer's Market welcomed a special visitor on July 24. Santa (aka Wheatfield's Bill Ross) arrived in his summer sleigh (a red 2002 Thunderbird convertible).
A long line of youngsters visited with Santa and received small gifts. They also had a chance to play games and clamber aboard a St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Co. fire truck.
Among new vendors at the market this season are Wheatfield's White Linen Teahouse and Town of Niagara's Paynes Pastry Palace.
The market, located in front of the Wheatfield Town Hall, continues from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. weekly on Wednesdays. (photos by Susan Mikula Campbell)
