Fifty-one students from various school districts in the area proudly walked through the gymnasium to cheers and smiles from their loved ones and the staff at Orleans/Niagara BOCES' Niagara Academy last month.

Principal Dr. Sushma Sztorc stood at the podium and addressed each student individually as she talked about their journey at the school and congratulated them on their success of attaining their diploma and for some their career and technical education certificate as well. The students' school district superintendents, principals and CSE representatives presented each graduate with well wishes and their diplomas.

The Niagara Academy works with students who are having trouble fitting into their home schools and need some extra help. Sztorc says for many of them it has been a long road, but she is proud of how they persevered and were able to succeed with their academic goals.
