Towns celebrate Independence Day with a bang

Get a head start on the Fourth of July celebration with free entertainment and fireworks on Monday, July 1, at Town of Niagara's Veterans Park on Lockport Road, across from Town Hall.

Get there at about 5:30 p.m. for the opening act of Rip and the Bandogs, followed by a performance by Western New York singer and entertainer Lance Diamond set to begin at 8 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

•Wheatfield's Fourth of July celebration will be Thursday, July 4, at Oppenheim Park on Niagara Falls Boulevard. A DJ will start playing music at 5 p.m., and there will be musically synchronized fireworks at dusk.
