ChrisFit Health & Wellness will host its first "ChrisFit Fest" from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., on Sunday, June 23. The fitness festival will feature a 5K and kids run, and offer an opportunity to access a range of free information on fitness and nutrition. It will take place at Academy Park in the Village of Lewiston.

"This is a place where people can go to get really good information about their health, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle," said Chris Tybor, owner of ChrisFit Health & Wellness. "The idea is to get people to see and experience the different things that they can do easily to help them stay healthy."

There will be live entertainment throughout the day, as well as free interactive fitness classes for adults and children, health and wellness speakers, health industry vendors, healthy food vendors and much more.

The event is hosted by ChrisFit Health & Wellness, along with Sparkle! Marketing & Events. Other sponsors include Plato's Closet & The Clothes Mentor, Tedesco Construction Services, Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare, Pine Pharmacy, Stuart Sports, Calarco Chiropractic, Michael's Restaurant Niagara County Legislator Jason Zona and Race Management Solutions.

Other partners include Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Dr. David Bonnevie and invisalign, Pro Active Therapeutics by Craig Gonzales LMT, Presti School of Karate, and Upstate New York Transport Services.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to "Project Good Choice," an organization focused on improving the nutrition and exercise choices of today's youth, and the Niagara County SPCA.
