Truesdale seeks re-election

Town of Porter Justice David Truesdale has announced his intention to seek re-election for a ninth term. Truesdale, a lifelong resident of the Town of Porter, is completing his 32nd year as justice.

Truesdale graduated from Lewiston-Porter in 1966 and went on to graduate with his B.S. in elementary and early secondary education degree in 1970. In that year, he began his 32-year teaching career at Wilson Central School. There, he taught fifth and sixth grades. He completed his graduate studies at Niagara University in 1975.

Truesdale has served on several committees within the Town of Porter and as a member of the Town of Porter Recreation Commission. He is a life member of the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company, where he has served as president, vice president, secretary, trustee and assistant chief. He is presently the treasurer of the fire company.

Truesdale is a member of the New York State Magistrates' Association and the Niagara County Magistrates' Association where he has served as president and treasurer.

Truesdale completed his basic judicial training through the New York State Unified Court System in 1981 and has successfully completed advanced training through the same agency each year since 1981.
