The Town of Porter has announced that its summer recreation program will get underway on Monday, July 1, and continue to Thursday, Aug. 8. The program will operate Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at W.H. "To ensure there will be sufficient counselors and supplies, those wishing to participate are asked to provide proof of age and residency along with contact information in advance of the program's commencement," said Recreation Director Kathy Zasucha. She reports that registration information and a copy of each child's immunization record will be collected at the Stevenson Elementary School gym on Wednesday and Thursday, June 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children entering first grade will need to furnish a birth certificate or kindergarten report card with evidence of promotion to the first grade.

Participation forms are available on the Town of Porter website,www.townofporter.net (go to Departments - Recreation). The two online forms must be signed and turned in at the Stevenson program site after June 25, or mailed to Porter Town Hall, 3265 Creek Road, Youngstown, NY 14174, prior to June 25, before their child starts the program.
