Episodes set to air live in primetime beginning Monday, Sept. 9, and ending on Thursday, Sept. 19
NBC has announced the primetime schedule for "The Million Second Quiz," the electrifying new competition that will air live from a gigantic hourglass-shaped structure in the heart of Manhattan.
The show will feature contestants who test the limits of their knowledge, endurance and will to win as they battle each other in intense bouts of trivia for 12 days.
"The Million Second Quiz" premieres Monday, Sept. 9 (8 p.m.), and continues through Saturday, Sept. 14, in that same 8 p.m. hour. It will then resume on Monday, Sept. 16, and will air each night (8 p.m.) until the finale on Thursday, Sept. 19 (8 p.m.), when the winner could claim a cash prize of $1 million or more.
The competition, where time equals money, will air live from an hourglass-shaped structure that will serve as the living quarters of the reigning champions — the four players who have remained in the game the longest. They must continue to play along with the game 24 hours a day to avoid the risk of being unseated in the primetime show.
This show will be the first fully convergent television experience, where viewers will be able to play along at home in real time and sync to the live primetime broadcast.
"The Million Second Quiz" continues 24 hours a day. Contestants from all across America will be able to engage in the game with an unprecedented level of interactivity and win the chance to appear on the show in primetime.
NBC affiliates will have the opportunity to interact live throughout the day and during the primetime show to be part of the action and showcase local contestants from their area.
