YMCA to collect American flags for proper retirement

The eight area YMCA Buffalo Niagara locations will be collecting old worn and tattered flags ready for retirement from June 3-7. Flags will be taken to Forest Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, June 8, for proper retirement. Flags can be donated to any YMCA Buffalo Niagara branch:

  • Delaware (open 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m.) - 2564 Delaware Ave., north Buffalo
  • Ellicott-Masten (open 7 a.m.-8 p.m.) - 585 William St., Buffalo
  • Ken-Ton (open 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m.) - 535 Belmont Ave., Kenmore
  • Lancaster (open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) - 31 Central Ave., Lancaster
  • Niagara Falls (open 5 a.m.-11 p.m.) - 1317 Portage Road, Niagara Falls
  • Independent Health Family Branch YMCA (open 5:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.) - 150 Tech Drive, Amherst
  • Southtowns (open 5:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.) - 1620 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca
  • YMCA Association Offices (open 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.) - 301 Cayuga Road, Cheektowaga
