Lewiston Police Blotter for April 27, 2013

The following activity occurred Monday, April 15, to Sunday, April 21, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 85 response calls during this period.

Monday, April 15

•5700 block of Military Road, accident/hit-run. Vehicle struck a light post and left the scene.

•1500 block of Upper Mountain Road, assist. LPD assisted Niagara County Sheriff's Office on a warrant execution of a male, 31.

•Myers Lake and Black Nose Spring roads, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported a 1999 Ford pickup had switched plates and a fake inspection sticker. Vehicle towed.

•900 block of Center Street, officer requested at a supermarket. Juvenile problem, resolved by patrol.

•Niagara University, O'Shea Hall, aggravated harassment complaint. Statement taken from a female, 19, who reports receiving harassing calls and texts. Report filed.

•Upper Mountain Road at the I-190 southbound, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 28, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. Uniform traffic tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•1800 block of Escarpment Drive, open burn. Female complainant states smoke is continuing to bother her and her family. Suspect involved not home; patrol to check later.

Tuesday, April 16

•1400 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Colonial Village School, alarm response. Building secured.

•Locations on the 400 block of Aberdeen Road and on the 200 block of Portage Road, separate calls of suspicious vehicles. Both locations OK.

•100 block of South Eighth Street, Lewiston post office, check situation. Patrol reported a possible suspicious package of women's clothing found at the location.

•700 block of Page Avenue, check welfare. Patrol spoke with a male, 49, and advised to contact a supervisor.

•500 block of Morgan Drive, follow-up. Patrol spoke with a female, 17, regarding an aggravated harassment complaint. Investigation to continue.

•600 block of Mountain View Drive, officer requested. Patrol spoke with a female, 54, who reported a male, elderly, had checks stolen. Investigation to continue.

•Forest Road, suspicious person. Patrol checked area with negative results.

Wednesday, April 17

•100 block of Chestnut Street, Youngstown, domestic. Patrol reported no answer; NCSO to do report.

•2700 block of Moore Road, larceny. Male reported copper piping missing; suspect unknown. Report filed.

•2900 block of Upper Mountain Road, two-vehicle accident. Patrol assisted NCSO.

•1200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, suspicious person. Male, 23, listed as a person involved, ran from patrol. Subject detained and released to parents.

•Lewiston sandocks, suspicious vehicle. All OK.

•700 block of Chicora drive, animal problem. Found dog reported; dog control officer to respond.

Thursday, April 18

•5800 block of Griffin Street, check welfare. Female, 52, listed as complainant, and two males, ages, 55, and 22, listed as persons involved. All OK; report filed.

•1200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, harassment complaint. Male, 36, female juvenile, and male, no age, listed on report. No further details.

•Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, arrest. Male, 50, arrested for operating while registration is suspended/revoked. Uniform traffic ticket issued; report filed.

•4000 block of Creek Road, suspicious activity. Female reports receiving an odd package, possibly from an ex-boyfriend. Request patrols to be observant of any suspicious vehicles in area.

•1700 block of Ridge Road, domestic. Female, 53, and male, 49, listed on call. Male left for the evening.

Friday, April 19

•1400 block of Saunders Settlement Road, Colonial Village School, property check. Patrol reported an open electrical box and contacted the key holder.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; report filed.

•400 block of Plain Street, harassment. Male, 58, receiving anonymous phone calls. No report requested.

•4500 block of Creek Road, neighbor problem. Male, 38, complained the sign from the nearby Hickory Stick Golf Course was on too long and too bright. Report filed.

•Pletcher and Harold roads, suspicious vehicle with Ontario plates. Patrol reported employees on location at a business.

Saturday, April 20

•5800 block of Buffalo Street, Sanborn Volunteer Fire Co. firehall, suspicious vehicles. Vehicles and occupants sent on their way.

•Indian Hill and Upper Mountain roads, property-damage accident/arrest. Patrol reported finding a male, 33, who had been involved in a rollover accident attempting to tip his vehicle right side up. Male arrested for driving while intoxicated, which was upgraded to aggravated DWI as his Blood Alcohol Content reading was found to be .20 of 1 percent. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed with 12-hour hold placed.

•800 block of Cayuga Drive, open door. Patrol located an open door at a storage facility business that was found to have been kicked in. Patrol secured same and notified key holder.

•South Sixth and Cayuga streets, property-damage accident. Statements taken from the drivers. Report filed.

•Creek Road, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Male, 27, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets for Lewiston Town Court; vehicle secured. Report filed.

•1700 block of Mount Hope Road, check welfare. Handled by patrol; all OK.

•Center Street, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Female, 58, arrested for operating while the registration is suspended/revoked. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle secured. Report filed.

•90 block of Steel Circle, agency assist. LPD on location with Town of Niagara Police for a physical domestic.

•3100 block of Park Avenue, Porter, agency assist. Patrol checked on a male, 65 and reports all OK.

•Saunders Settlement and Tuscarora roads, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 20, arrested for operating while the registration is suspended/revoked. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle secured. Report filed.

•800 block of Swann Road, property dispute. Patrol advised both parties it was a civil matter. Patrol cleared.

•200 block of South Third Street, unwanted party. Patrol spoke with a female, 60, regarding a male subject, 29, highly intoxicated, who made threats to harm himself. Subject went voluntarily to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center on a mental health response.

•Miller Road, warrant execution. Female, 29, arrested, charge(s) not specified. Suspect arraigned, bail of $1,000/$2,000 assigned, and suspect remanded to custody of NCSO.

Sunday, April 21

•5900 block of Hewitt drive, domestic. Female, 48, listed as victim, and male suspect, 41, arrested for criminal trespass. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court, bail of $250 assigned and suspect remanded to custody of NCSO. Order of protection issued.

•700 block of Cayuga Street, domestic. Female, 25, listed as a victim and male, no age, listed as suspect. No charges; Domestic Incident Report filed.

•Ridge Road at Route 429, vehicle traffic stop. Male, 39, arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana. Vehicle towed; no further information.
