"Building Our Empire" will be the first state tourism industry conference held in the area
The Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. will welcome the seventh annual "I Love New York" Empire State Tourism Conference, titled "Building Our Empire," from May 1-3. This is the first time the annual conference will be held outside of the Albany region in many years.
Hosted by the New York State Travel and Vacation Association and the New York State Department of Economic Development, Division of Tourism, the conference will bring 160 tourism professionals from across New York state to Niagara USA. Typically held downstate, the host organizations chose Niagara Falls as a new destination for this conference.
Included in the seminars and presentations, keynote speaker Amir Eylon of Brand USA will speak about strategic partnerships to increase international tourism to the United States.
"We are thrilled to welcome the 'I Love New York' Empire State Tourism Conference," said John Percy, president and CEO of NTCC. "Niagara Falls is the perfect location to hold a conference where worldwide visitation is a highlight, since we are an iconic international destination and see guests from around the globe."
In addition to attending presentations and seminars, the group will participate in events that will showcase the region. During their stay, attendees will have the opportunity to tour Niagara Falls State Park, ride the Maid of the Mist, and take a boat ride on the Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruises. They will also enjoy breakfast at the new Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.
