Village of Lewiston Mayor Terry Collesano recently issued a proclamation designating Aug. 10-11 as the "Art of Green Weekend." The announcement comes in support of efforts by the Lewiston Council on the Arts to institute a number of "green" initiatives during the Lewiston Art Festival.
Collesano called upon the people and businesses of Lewiston to recognize and participate in this special observance and encouraged everyone to recycle, compost and use recycled materials to decrease the impact of the Art Festival on the local environment. LCA "Green Partners" include Artpark & Co. and Modern Recycling.
