Free business workshop to assist all current and prospective businesses in Niagara County

Niagara business workshop series continues on Wednesday, April 10

The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency, in conjunction with The Niagara County Center for Economic Development, Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas, Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce, Niagara USA Chamber, Town of Niagara IDA and Town of Lockport IDA, are sponsoring a free series of business workshops to be held throughout Niagara County for all current or prospective businesses interested in learning more about various incentive programs offered by local and county economic development agencies. The second business workshop of the four part series is 9:30 to 11 a.m.Wednesday, April 10, at Wilson Town Hall, 375 Lake St. The first free business workshop was held in Lockport in February.

Topics that will be covered include programs available to lower electricity costs, options for business loans and financing, information on real property tax and sales tax incentives, the importance of a sustainable business plan, buildings for sale or lease in Niagara County, and where to apply for grants to hire and train workforce.

The free workshops will outline resources and programs available to current or prospective Niagara County businesses. Co-sponsors and presenters will include the NCIDA, Town of Lockport IDA, Small Business Development Center at Niagara County Community College, Small Business Administration, Niagara County Department of Employment and Training, and Empire State Development.

Two other free business workshops have been scheduled this summer:

•June 19, Cambria Town Hall, 4160 Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn, 9:30 to 11 a.m.

•Aug. 21, Somerset Town Hall, 8700 Haight Road, Barker, 9:30 to 11 a.m.
