Dr. Jayanta Chaudhuri named Grand Island medical director

Jayanta Chaudhuri, M.D., has been named medical director of Grand Island Family Practice.

A graduate of Gauhati Medical College, India, Chaudhuri completed both a residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in geriatric medicine at the University at Buffalo and Erie County Medical Center.

Chaudhuri is a former president of the medical staff at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and a current member of the medical center's board of directors. He holds board certification in internal medicine and has practiced locally since 2003.

Grand Island Family Practice, a service of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, operates medical offices at 1801 Grand Island Blvd., Grand Island. As medical director, Chaudhuri will oversee a staff that includes Willard Ruth, D.O.
