WGRZ TV and Sinclair Broadcasting have announced that, starting the week of April 8, "2 On Your Side at 10" expands to seven days a week and makes the move to WUTV (FOX) from WNYO (My Net).

"WGRZ is excited about our new and enhanced news partnership. Ten O'clock is one of the growing periods for news viewing, which is unavailable for our viewers on Channel 2 due to NBC programming," said Jim Toellner, WGRZ-TV president and general manager. "The consistency of seven days for viewers and the great new home on FOX affiliate WUTV is a formula that viewers across the country have embraced. Now we can offer it here."

Also part of the new agreement, WNYO will re-broadcast the 6 a.m. hour of Channel 2 News "Daybreak" at 7 a.m.

"We are pleased to take the next step in our news partnership with WGRZ in providing outstanding newscasts to our viewers," said Nick Magnini, general manager of WUTV and WNYO. "With the expansion of our 10 p.m. news to seven days a week and moving the news to WUTV, we look forward to the continued growth of our 10 p.m. news. We also are pleased to be adding WGRZ's No. 1 morning news on WNYO from 7-8 a.m. Monday to Friday."
