With spring on our doorstep and a beautiful summer filled with family fun ahead, Artpark has put out the call to spruce up the green areas of the Earl W. Brydges Artpark State Park. Come and celebrate Parks & Trails New York and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation's "I Love My Park Day" on Saturday, May 4, at Artpark.
More than 70 "I Love My Park Day" events are taking place at state parks and historic sites across New York state in 2013. At Artpark, community volunteers will be on site from 10 a.m. until noon. They will focus their efforts in Artpark's historic woods, its trails, and improvement projects for the summer.
Thousands of area residents and groups enjoy Artpark year-round for morning walks, annual runs, season fishing and family outings, as well as attending the summer season of programming presented at the park. This is an opportunity to give back to the park!
Volunteers can register online at http://www.ptny.org/ilovemypark/register.shtml.
