Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-Lewiston, released a statement Wednesday in support of a plan put forth in the New York State Parks scoping process for the redevelopment of the Robert Moses Parkway along the Niagara Falls waterfront. He said alternative design No. 3 provides the best opportunity for this region to open the waterfront to economic development that will benefit all the residents of Niagara Falls. Ceretto submitted the statement as part of the public comment period on the plan, which ended this week.

"If properly utilized, the waterfront can be a major economic benefit to Niagara Falls," he said. "The alternative three plan is the best way to promote economic development and meet the needs of the community. Opening up the waterfront would allow our residents and tourists to enjoy the beauty of the area and generate additional revenues and jobs that will benefit everyone living in Niagara Falls."
