Crowley Webb, a full-service marketing communications agency in Buffalo, won a silver award in the Collegiate Advertising Awards, a national competition of college and university marketing materials, for the Niagara University "What's On Your Mind" campaign.

"What's On Your Mind" is a series of seven 15-second commercials addressing critical issues students face when selecting a college. Knowing that high school juniors and seniors are conscious of the financial strain of college tuition and the unsure job market, the commercials were designed to capture both the excitement of college and some of the sobering concerns, including job placement, campus involvement and financial aid. Using Niagara University Admissions Office statistics, the ads show why Niagara is a great choice.

The commercials aired during targeted programming in the Western New York, Rochester and Syracuse markets, and appeared on social media sites including Facebook, YouTube, SparkNotes and Pandora. The ads also ran prior to movie showings at Regal Cinemas throughout Western New York.

"This is a great honor for the university, and our partners at Crowley Webb, and we look forward to continuing to tell the story of Niagara in our advertising," said Tom Burns, associate vice president for public relations, communications and marketing at Niagara University.

More than 700 entries from the U.S. and Canada were submitted in the CAA competition's multiple categories, highlighting communication, marketing and advertising initiatives. Panels of industry experts judged entries based on criteria including creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality, and overall appeal.

Founded in 1986, Crowley Webb continues its growth as one of America's hardest-working advertising agencies. For more information, call 716-856-2932 or visit www.crowleywebb.com or www.facebook.com/CrowleyWebb.
