'Last Call' to spotlight six emerging artists, including Angel Haze, Big Black Delta, Glossary, Grape St., Maximum Hedrum and The Coup
Week-long broadcasts from festival begin Tuesday, March 19, as late night series will spotlight interviews and music performances
NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" announced that it will return to the popular South by Southwest Music Festival to host its annual music showcase in Austin, Texas, on March 13. That will be followed by a week-long spotlight of SXSW beginning Tuesday, March 19 (1:35-2:05 a.m.), through Friday, March 22. "Last Call" will partner with Ford Fiesta to showcase six emerging artists, including Angel Haze, Big Black Delta, Glossary, Grape St., Maximum Hedrum and The Coup from Cedar Street Courtyard in Austin.
Daly will serve as the emcee for the showcase.
The late night show's interviews throughout the week will include Jake Bugg, Joey Bada$$, Angel Haze and Chloe Chaidez from the band Kitten. This week will also feature Ford Fiesta's program, "Fiesta Movement: A Social Remix," driving social media influencers to Fiestamovement.com to apply for a chance to become a Fiesta 'Agent' - an elite group of insiders who will introduce the 2014 Ford Fiesta to America through their own photos, videos and creative ideas.
"Our partnership with South by Southwest fulfills our mission to reveal the most-promising newcomers wherever they might be," Daly said. "And this time of year, that place is Austin, Texas."
