Western New York radio, sports and music legends are celebrated in new discussion series

The Buffalo History Museum presents "Giants of Buffalo," a brand new discussion series that spotlights specific industries and Western New York individuals who have made extraordinary contributions in their field. The first round of this kickoff series is in collaboration with the Buffalo Broadcasters Association, Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame and Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.

On Friday, March 15, the first of three scheduled discussions is "Giants of Buffalo Radio." It will feature illustrious personalities Sandy Beach, Shane Gibson, Danny Neaverth, Joey Reynolds and Stan Roberts. (Bios of March speakers can be found on Buffalo Broadcasters Association website.)

The concept of the program is to engage the audience and the guest speakers in an informal talk show format about their personal stories as experienced by career choices, industry practices of the day, impact on the region, and inevitable changes. The series will take place annually in the spring months of March, April and May. John DiSciullo, executive director of production and promotion at WBBZ-TV, will moderate "Giants of Buffalo Radio."

Adult beverages and snacks will be made available.
