20th annual Baskets O'Plenty Auction to benefit people with developmental disabilitiesby jmaloni
The Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation's 20th annual Baskets O'Plenty Auction is scheduled for Thursday, March 14, at BPO Elks Lodge No. 346, 1805 Fashion Outlet Blvd., in the Town of Niagara. Chaired by Christine S. O'Hara, all proceeds from the event will benefit individuals with developmental disabilities served by the agency.
This year's sponsors include Wegmans, Town of Niagara Business & Professional Association, Tedesco Construction, Lewiston Service Guild, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority with Greater Niagara Newspapers being the media sponsor. There will be more than 150 theme baskets with a value of $50 or more.
The baskets may be previewed between 5 and 7 p.m. with drawings beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m. You do not need to be present to win. You may purchase your admission tickets at the door for $15 each, which includes 25 chances for the basket drawings. There will also be a side raffle table of items worth $100 or more. Tickets are six for $5 or 20 for $10. Extra tickets are 25 for $10 or 75 for $20 and split club tickets are 15 tickets for $10. There will be numerous door prizes throughout the evening, as well as finger foods available for purchase.
The mission of the Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Foundation is to provide a long-term source of financial support that ensures people with developmental disabilities have opportunities toward independence and integration within the community.
