The Niagara County Builders Association announced this week its 2013 Parade of Homes home show will take place in Niagara County and Grand Island on three weekends, starting Saturday, May 4.

Now in its 15th year, the Parade of Homes, regarded by NCBA organizers as Western New York's most affordable home show, is expected to feature eight to 10 homes by several of Niagara County's most talented and experienced builders. The show is free to the public.

The show is moving from its traditional fall showing to a spring event.

"There is a great trend toward presenting new home shows in the spring, when families are making their decisions to build," said show chair Kristin Savard, who also serves as president of the NCBA. "Our builders are excited about this change, and are gearing up to present a great show."

Visitors will be invited to tour homes in Lewiston, Wheatfield, North Tonawanda, Pendleton and Grand Island. These homes will feature the finest craftsmanship and quality, as well as the latest in design, construction technology and decorating. Builders will be available to talk with consumers about their homes.

The 2013 Parade of Homes will be open to the public on the weekends of May 4 and 5, May 11 and 12, and May 18 and 19, from noon until 5 p.m. each day of the show. Visitors can tour the homes at their own pace, and there is no admission charge.

Builders or sponsors who are interested in the show can get more information by calling the NCBA office at 716-693-5736.
