Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier has announced that forward Kevin Porter has been recalled from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Porter (age 26, 6'0", 190 pounds) joins the Sabres for the first time after signing with Buffalo as a free agent on July 6, 2012. Porter has played in parts of five NHL seasons - two with Phoenix and three with Colorado - and has recorded 45 points (25 goals, 20 assists) through 165 NHL games played.
The Detroit native has played in 48 games this season with the Americans, tallying 44 points (15/29) and 38 penalty minutes.
