This winter, the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda, has a new camp offering for elementary-aged children.
From Feb. 18 to 22, kids can escape winter-break boredom with crafts, games, stories, supervised activities in the interactive children's learning gallery, and carrousel rides.
Try President's Day activities on Monday, Feb. 18; winter-themed activities on Tuesday, Feb. 19; circus activities on Wednesday, Feb. 20; Black History Month activities on Thursday, Feb. 21; and inventors and inventions activities on Friday, Feb. 22.
The programs are offered from 9 a.m. to noon each day for children in grades kindergarten to 2. Activities for those in grades 3 to 5 take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Parents are welcome to accompany children, or drop them off for the time period appropriate to their age group.
Each session is $10 per child per day. Sign up for the whole week and pay just $45. Reservations and prepayment are required by Friday, Feb. 15. Call 716-693-1885 or download a registration form at www.carrouselmuseum.org.
