The 2013 Relay For Life Kickoff Party will take place Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. in the senior cafeteria of Grand Island High School, 1100 Ransom Road.
Relay For Life of Grand Island 2012 was named a 2012 Eastern Division Top 20 Relay For Life Event. The kickoff will help the GI Relay recognize teams and individuals that helped make that happen, last year, as well as fire up the teams for 2013.
The 2013 honorary survivor and honorary caregiver will also be introduced.
Its theme is "Going for the Gold" in the fight against cancer in 2013.
The 2013 Relay For Life will take place at a new venue: Veterans Park (1717 Bedell Road, Grand Island) on Saturday, June 8-9, from 2 p.m. to 6 a.m.
